Notice is hereby given in terms of Section 33(1)(a) of the Municipal Finance Management Act (Act 56 of 2003) that it is the intention of the Prince Albert Municipality to conclude contracts which will impose financial obligations on the municipality beyond a financial year, and beyond the three years covered in the annual budget for the 2026/2027 financial year.
Notice is hereby further given in terms of Section 21A of the Municipal Systems Act (Act 32 of 2000) that the local community and other interested are invited to submit comments or representations on the proposed contracts. Such comments or representations must be submitted by no later than 29 September 2026 at 12h00. Copies of the explanatory documents, contracts and information statement will be available for inspection during office hours (from 07h30 to 16h00, Monday to Thursday and 07h30 to 15h30 on Fridays) at the following locations:

TENDER 111/2026 - KLAARSTROOM: EMERGENCY WATER SUPPLY INTERVENTION (DRILLING TESTING & REHABILITATION OF PRODUCTION BOREHOLES)
COMPULSORY CLARIFICATION MEETING
A compulsory clarification meeting with representatives of the Employer will take place in the Klaarstroom Community Centre, Bloekom Street, Klaarstroom, on 03 September 2026, starting at 11:30.
Tenderers who arrive late (after 11:30) will not be allowed to join the clarification meeting. Tenderers should be represented at the clarification meeting by an employee of the Tenderer who is suitably qualified and experienced to comprehend the implications of the work involved. No representative at the meeting may represent more than one Tenderer.
Notice is hereby given that the Municipality intends to dispose of certain municipal assets, subject to the applicable provisions of the Local Government: Municipal Finance Management Act, 2003 (Act No. 56 of 2003), the Municipal Asset Transfer Regulations, and any other applicable legislation.

Enquiries may be directed to the Office of the Municipal Manager during normal office hours, Monday to Thursday from 07:30 to 16:00, and Friday from 07:30 to 15:30.
The Municipality will consider all comments received within the prescribed period before making a final decision regarding the proposed disposal of the municipal assets.
