Notice is hereby given that the Prince Albert Municipality has prepared the 2026/2027 Draft Integrated Development Plan (IDP) and Budget, as required in terms of the Local Government: Municipal Systems Act and the Municipal Finance Management Act.

The IDP and Budget documents are available for public viewing at all municipal offices and libraries throughout the greater municipal area, as well as on the municipal website.

The Municipality hereby invites all residents and stakeholders to attend public consultation meetings, which will be held per ward as scheduled below: 

Council at its Ordinary meeting held on Thursday, 19 March 2026 considered and adopted the revisions to the Service Delivery and Budget Implementation Plan (SDBIP) 2025/2026. The performance agreements of the Municipal Manager and Directors have been revised in line with the approved SDBIP.

The Minister of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs, hereby invite the public, civil society, public instutitions, interested stakeholders and all three spheres of government to provide comments towards the Review of the White Paper on Local Government by responding to the document.

2024/2025 FINAL ANNUAL REPORT AND OVERSIGHT REPORT 

Notice is hereby given in terms of Section 129(3) of the Local Government: Municipal Finance Management Act, No. 56 of 2003, read together with Section 21A of the Local Government: Municipal Systems Act, No. 32 of 2000, that the Prince Albert Municipality hereby makes public the Final Annual Report and Oversight Report for the 2024/2025 financial year. 

These reports were tabled before the Municipal Council at a meeting held on Friday, 27 February 2026.

Hard copies of the documents are available at municipal offices and libraries in the towns of Leeu-Gamka, Klaarstroom, and Prince Albert. The electronic versions may be accessed on the Municipal website: Documents/Performance Management
